About me

A Viennese original introduces herself

Martina Büchele, born in Vienna, now living in Lower Austria. I am married to a Bavarian and have a daughter from Cambodia. Quite international – don’t you think?

Originally, I studied commercial sciences and spent almost 30 years in leading positions in international marketing, sales, and corporate communications.

Art and culture have accompanied me all my life – then I turned my hobby into my profession!

After many years in profit-oriented corporate life, I now do what I enjoy: working with people, organizing, and communicating history and culture.

I would be happy to guide you through my hometown, accompany you on a trip to Europe or support you at your customer event!

Some facts to get to know me

Studies &
professional career

After attending sports high school in Vienna, I studied at the University of Economics and Business Administration with a focus on marketing. Today, I no longer really know what motivated me to do this. Actually, I wanted to become a physiotherapist, and plan B was to study tourism, which would actually be typical for an Austrian. But that didn’t happen, and I chose to devote myself to the stressful corporate life. Today I know better.

I love good food

…and a fine glass of wine is one of my passions. Unfortunately, I can’t / don’t like to cook. But how lucky I am to have married the right man: Felix loves to cook! Since the Corona time, he has also been making bread, ham, and sausage himself. To my chagrin, he decorates the whole house with his “absolutely” necessary kitchen utensils. But if it serves the cause

My family

My husband Felix is a photographer. He also took one or the other photo on our travels and contributed to the design of this homepage. Have a look at: www.felixfoto.at
We adopted our daughter Amelie in Cambodia, she is currently studying graphic design at the “New Design University” in St. Pölten.

Going new ways

After many years in various large companies, I finally wanted to turn my passion into a career and do what I enjoy. As a communicative person, a job where I spend time with people and get to tell a story is like second nature to me. So it was back to school to train as a certified tour guide and state-certified tourist guide.

What I like to do

Well, hobby number 1 is of course travelling – how lucky that I get to do that professionally now! But I am also a passionate skier and yogi, and try my hand at golf with moderate success.

We, the Vienna travellers from the Waiblingen partnership association, have arrived back home safely, satisfied and with wonderful memories. Our city tour and the subsequent city walk, both with Ms Büchele as our guide from ‘Wienführung’, were a complete success. Ms Büchele and Roman, the driver of the bus we hired from Blaguss Reisen, were an excellent team during the city tour. We saw a lot and learned a lot about the city of Vienna during the tour and later during the city walk. Our tour group was thrilled with Ms Büchele. She presented her in-depth knowledge in such a charming and interesting way that it was a pleasure to listen to her. Please let Ms Büchele know.
With warm regards to beautiful Vienna,
